General information

The River Dane is a small river venue with just four pegs around Swettenham, near Congleton, Cheshire UK. The venue contains barbel, brown trout, bullheads, chub, bream, dace, grayling, minnows, perch, pike and roach.

The default version is pretty easy, and plenty of good quality chub can be caught frequently, as well as some good barbel. Although there are 10 lb plus barbel around, they are very difficult to catch.

The pro version, is created totally differently from the default version. It makes use of new features available since the default version of the venue was created. Also, the objects and depths are altered slightly, eg holes and channels made slightly deeper in places. The pro version of the dane, is pretty realistic, although plenty of fish can be caught all year round and also at night.

On either version if you are targetting the barbel, night fishing is probably the best approach.

Minimum Fishsim 2 version required

The default version of the River Dane can be run on any version of Fishing Simulator 2 as it is one of the default installed venues. The pro version however, requires version 2.08 or higher to make use of the advancements in fish stock behaviour. The latest update version of Fishing Simulator 2 can be downloaded on here. In all cases, the latest version of Fishing Simulator 2 should be used for match fishing and record catch submissions.
